Terms of Use
Rules governing access to DPOSaaS Solutions and its products — DPO App, Academy, and Authority.
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of BIS CRM websites, platforms, and services, including the DPOSaaS Solutions platform (www.dposaas.com) — comprising DPO App, Academy, and Authority — and all associated training, certifications, and educational content.
By accessing, registering, or using any platform feature, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.
2. About the Platform
BIS CRM provides technological, methodological, and educational solutions focused on GDPR and LGPD compliance, information governance, privacy, and AI governance.
Services available through DPOSaaS Solutions include:
- Access to courses, training programs, and educational content (Academy)
- DPO management tools, compliance documentation, and governance workflows (DPO App)
- Compliance status visibility and international readiness (Authority)
- Enablement programs, professional certifications, and corporate licenses
3. Eligibility and Registration
To access certain features, you must:
- Have legal capacity to contract under applicable law
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
- Keep your access credentials confidential
You are responsible for all activity performed through your account.
4. Permitted Use
The platform must be used solely for lawful, educational, and professional purposes, in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Using the platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- Sharing, reselling, or transferring access without authorization
- Copying, reproducing, distributing, or commercially exploiting content
- Attempting to access restricted areas, systems, or third-party data
- Interfering with the platform's technical operation
Violations may result in suspension or termination of access, without prejudice to applicable legal remedies.
5. Intellectual Property
All content — including texts, videos, learning materials, methodologies, brands, software, and layouts — is owned by BIS CRM or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Access to content does not transfer any intellectual property rights.
6. Plans, Payments, and Access
Some services are offered on a paid basis, as described at the time of purchase. The standard access period for training content is 12 months, unless expressly stated otherwise. After that period, access may end, renew, or migrate to a new offer according to current commercial terms.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, amounts paid are non-refundable once access begins.
7. Training, Certifications, and Content Updates
7.1 Evolving Nature of Content
Trainings, courses, and certifications provided by BIS CRM reflect the state of knowledge, legislation, and best practices at the time of publication. Content related to privacy, data protection, AI governance, and compliance may become outdated due to legislative changes, new regulatory guidance, or evolving technical standards.
7.2 Updates, Replacement, or Discontinuation
BIS CRM may update, replace, or discontinue trainings — in whole or in part — during the contracted access period, to maintain regulatory and technical alignment. Discontinued content may no longer be accessible on the platform.
7.3 Transition Policy in Case of Discontinuation
If content is discontinued due to obsolescence, the following compensatory measures apply:
- Already certified users: 25% discount on the updated or equivalent version.
- Not yet certified users: 75% discount on the updated or equivalent version.
These benefits are compensatory and do not create a right to reimbursement for prior payments.
7.4 No Refunds for Content Updates
Discontinuation due to regulatory obsolescence does not constitute a service failure. Access was provided during the contracted period and the content served its educational purpose. No full or partial refunds are due in these cases.
8. Platform Availability
BIS CRM strives to maintain a stable and secure platform but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be updated or temporarily unavailable for technical, legal, or operational reasons.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BIS CRM is not liable for:
- Damages arising from improper use of the platform
- Decisions based solely on educational content
- Temporary interruptions or unavailability
- Third-party content or integrated services
10. Personal Data
Data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms for all legal purposes.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
BIS CRM may suspend or terminate access in cases of:
- Violation of these Terms
- Improper use of the platform
- Legal or regulatory obligation
Users may request account closure through official channels at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction of BIS CRM's place of incorporation. For EU users, GDPR rights and applicable EU consumer protection regulations apply regardless of governing law. Disputes will be resolved through competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
